What will be covered in the Webinar Series?
Safety Tuesday 16th February 4pm
A critical first session that reminds you of the importance of safety which is a key element for healing to continue. You will have the opportunity to consider if you feel safe across various areas of your life – at home, your workplace, with your therapist and other relationships. In this webinar, strategies to feel safer in these areas of your life to enable healing will be delivered along with more content.
Impact of Trauma on the Brain Tuesday 23rd February 4pm
Knowledge is power and with this webinar you will be empowered with easy to understand theory on brain functioning and trauma. Gain scientific knowledge about the impact of trauma on different areas of the brain and which years of life are critical to healthy development. You will be given the opportunity to learn or re-consider important information that can help explain behaviour that follows trauma and how to heal so as to change your behaviour.
De-Triggering Tuesday 2nd March 4pm
In this webinar be reminded about what is a trigger, how to identify when we are triggered and how to de-trigger. “Triggers are treasures” as they give us insight into our trauma and if we address the underlying fear we can heal and be able to consciously respond instead of unconsciously react in our lives. You will given the opportunity to learn step-by-step strategies to help yourself and/or others when triggered.
Trauma Healing Process Tuesday 9th March 4pm
This webinar focuses on the ‘Heal for Life’ 5-step process to heal trauma reactions in response to triggers. You will be provided with steps to try in your daily life to continue to heal from past traumas. An explanation of the mechanism underlying the process will be provided which centres on releasing the suppressed fear that was created at the time of trauma. Important precautions will be provided such as consulting with your mental health practitioner if you require extra support.
Developing An Adult Self Tuesday 16th March 4pm
Without a strong adult self, it is very hard to heal. Some of us function too much in our right brain and find it hard to self-comfort and self-nurture. Or we stay too much in our left brain and fail to nurture ourselves enough. Some of us may have areas of our lives that need a stronger adult presence such as organising, planning or committing to responsibilities. In this webinar you will be able to learn to identify if you could benefit from developing a stronger adult self and ways to address this by learning from those who have healed.
Inner Child Tuesday 23rd March 4pm
In this webinar you will be given the opportunity to be reminded what an inner child is, the importance of connecting with your inner child, ways to improve your relationship with your inner child to enhance healing, and how our inner child relates to our brain functioning and hemispherical connectivity. In this webinar, practical suggestions to connect with your inner child and real-life examples will be provided to deepen your learning.
Boundaries Tuesday 30th March 4pm
Do you say yes when you want to say no or, say no when you want to say yes? If you can relate to these questions then this webinar on boundaries may be particularly useful for you. An explanation of boundaries will be provided in addition to recognising if you have poor boundaries and how to improve your boundaries. Better use of boundaries is key to healing trauma as boundaries help keep you safe, healthy and happy.
Protecting Self & Coping Mechanisms Tuesday 6th April 4pm
Our coping mechanisms serve a purpose and may have protected us from painful emotions, but are they now too destructive? This webinar will explore different coping mechanisms and ways to identify our own protective behaviour that stems from trauma. You will be provided with the opportunity to learn what fear-based beliefs your coping mechanisms are based on and alternative suggestions to move towards healing
Attachment Style Tuesday 13th April 4pm
As social beings, the way in which we attach to others is important to our everyday lives. Our attachment style is based on our relationship with our primary caregivers in our early years which is likely to have been insecure if we have experienced trauma that is still having an impact. This webinar will help you to learn more about your attachment style and how you can be assisted to improve your relationship with others.
Self-Love & Nurturing Tuesday 2oth April 4pm
Nurturing ourselves is critical to a healthy and happy life, however considering and catering for one’s own needs can be difficult if you have experienced trauma. The healing journey begins within and this webinar can help you learn ways to start loving and connecting with yourself more.
